During the holidays nothing gets people in the spirit more than Christmas carols. Christmas is my favorite time of year and between all the family visits and meals it is important to take time for others in the community. For about four years now my family and some friends go out one week before Christmas around my hometown and sing for people. Here are a few suggestions to use when you go out into the neighborhood.
- Deck the Halls
- Frosty The Snowman
- Holly Jolly Christmas
- Jingle Bells
- Joy to the World
- Let it Snow
- Silent Night
- Winter Wonderland
- We Wish you a Merry Christmas
- Santa Claus is Coming to Town
- Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
I think the best part about caroling in a neighborhood, is that you never know who is going to answer the door. It might be a family, a single parent and a child who really likes Frosty, or an older couple who just appreciates the visit. You’d also be surprised by the amazing cookies people offer you. I’m not kidding, I always seem to gain weight when we go caroling. It’s worth it!
